Famous vineyard facing south with calcareous soil and with the presence of more compact clayey marls. Barolo Sarmassa is a Barolo of great structure with marked scents of licorice, tobacco tar; in the mouth it is full and austere with visible tannins that allow long aging (even 15 years or more). Aged partly in large barrels and partly in 500-liter tonneaux for 2 years.
