Barolo DOCG Noi
An intricate weaving of different terroirs combine to create ‘Noi”. Elevage of this Barolo takes place in large oak casks.
Embodies both the terroir and our own understanding of this wine: elegant and powerful, providing great excitement.
Variety: Nebbiolo subvarieties Lampia and Michet
Origin of grapes: Barolo area
Vineyards: Guyot pruning (8-9 shoots)
Exposure: southeast and southwest
Density: 5000 vines per hectare on average
Yield per hectare: 55-75 quintals
Year planted: 1970 - 1980 - 1990
Elevation: 280 - 350 metres
Vinification
Crushing and de-stemming; maceration with skins for about 10-12 days at maximum temperature of 29-31°C. After racking, élevage in oak barrels for about 18 months.
Repose in steel tanks prior to bottling.
Bottle-aged horizontally prior to packaging and shipping.
Organoleptic Characteristics
Intense ruby red with garnet highlights; full, intense nose, tertiary notes with red fruit leading vanilla, cocoa and spices.
Full-flavoured and austere with balanced, supple tannins.
Storage
Recommended serving temperature: 17 - 18°C in tasting glasses.
